Early Music Christmas: An English Celebration

Picture
Our 5th annual Early Music Christmas features English repertoire, interwoven in a spell-binding evocation of the mysteries and joys of the season. Our oldest repertoire of 14th-century carols provides our second layer. Motets from the late-Renaissance flowering of English polyphony include works by William Byrd and Thomas Tallis.  Christmas movements from Handel's Messiah close the concert. Featuring soprano Jenni Samuelson, cornettist Steve Escher, organist David Parsons, and the Sonoma Bach Choir.
