The fellowship of true friends who can hear you out, share your joys, help carry your burdens, and correctly counsel you is priceless. -Ezra Taft Benson (1899-1994)
We open our season with a festive concert which features music and poetry celebrating the joys and consolations of food, drink, fellowship and conviviality. Local countertenor Christopher Fritzsche joins with our resident vocal ensemble, the Green Mountain Consort, and our own Live Oak Baroque Orchestra in songs and instrumental pieces from England, Italy, Germany and Spain. Featured composers include Thomas Morley, Adriano Banchieri, Johann Hermann Schein, and Mateo Flecha the Younger.
