Community Outreach: Christmas Caroling for Seniors
On our bookshelf: Christmas Poems (ed. John Hollander and J.D. McClatchy)
Picture
Just in time for the Christmas season, the Sonoma Bach Choir will dive into the music of Dieterich Buxtehude, featuring several of his festive cantatas—including In Dulci Jubilo (BuxWV 52). Woven throughout the performance carols old and new capitalize on the feeling of connection and warmth that these songs provide. Along with players from the Live Oak Baroque Orchestra, we will join together to celebrate the story that has captivated so many. We can’t wait to share our 15th-annual Early Music Christmas with you!

Community Outreach: Christmas Caroling for Seniors
Picture
This December, Sonoma Bach will share holiday music with residents of local senior living communities through special evenings of caroling. Our singers will bring beloved holiday songs that inspire smiles, awaken cherished memories, and fill gathering spaces with warmth and joy. This outreach is an opportunity to connect through music, offering companionship, comfort, and the spirit of the season to those who may not be able to attend a concert.

Early Music Christmas: Christmas Poems
(ed. John Hollander and J.D. McClatchy)
Ever since the first caroling of the angelic choir over Bethlehem, the Nativity has inspired the most magical words of celebration. This garland of Christmas poems contains not only the ones you would insist on finding here, but such equally enchanting though lesser known Yuletide treasures.

The Sonoma Bach Choir is a group of about 60 gifted singers drawn from throughout Sonoma County. The Sonoma Bach Choir specializes in the music of the Baroque period, with special emphasis on Johann Sebastian Bach; members and audiences alike thrill to the constant inventiveness and incredible degree of feeling in Bach's music.
