Bach's World
Bob Worth

Bob Worth will lead a Bach Talk & Sing focusing upon the musical world and styles which Bach inherited from his forebears, and upon Bach himself and some of the ways in which he responded to and built upon this rich heritage.  We’ll study and sing music by such composers as the Italians Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina and Antonio Vivaldi; Bach’s uncles Johann Michael and Johann Christoph Bach; Johann Pachelbel; Dieterich Buxtehude; and, of course, plenty of music by Bach himself, guided in part by a wonderful recent book by Christoph Wolff called ‘Bach’s Musical Universe’.

Please join us for a fun night exploring a two-century swath of fabulous music!
