The Barefoot All-Stars have been bringing viol consort music to the Bay Area for nearly a decade.  Originally formed as an occasional ad hoc group of viol players for the popular Barefoot Chamber Concerts series, the All-Stars have gone on to (among other things) perform for Sonoma Bach under Robert Worth, have contributed to the 2014, 2016 and 2018 BFX fringes ("Lacrimae and other sad Pavans", and "The Cries of London"), and have established an annual tradition of concerts devoted to a single composer  (Ferrabosco, Gibbons, Byrd, etc.), attracting sell-out audiences every January since 2017. They are still waiting to play their Covid-delayed “Complete Six Part Setts of William Lawes” program, which was scheduled for the (Covid-cancelled) Berkeley Festival Mainstage in 2020.
