Brahms for Women’s Choir

Early in his career, Johannes Brahms conducted a women’s choir in Hamburg called the Hamburger Frauenchor. He composed a significant amount of beautiful, delicate music for the ensemble over the course of three years, using both folksongs and ancient musical styles. We’ll listen to some of the best.
