From Schütz to Bach
Bob Worth
Picture
Bob Worth discusses and plays selections from a wonderful 2017 8-CD compilation of recordings by excellent ensembles. It's called 'Music in Germany from Schütz to Bach', a volume from Jérôme Lejeune's series 'History of Early Music'.  We'll take a stroll through 200 years of Baroque music, including (in addition to S and B) Thomas Selle, Matthias Weckmann, Dieterich Buxtehude, Georg Böhm, and some of Bach's uncles.
