The National Anthems, by David Lang (2014)
host: Steve Osborn
After winning the Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for “the little match girl passion,” composer David Lang examined every national anthem in the world.
The result was “The National Anthems,” a five-movement work filled with a stunning diversity of music. We’ll also listen to two songs that Lang wrote
for the 2015 movie “Youth.”
